SET Training

OVERVIEW

Learn Structural Energetic Therapy® – graduate-level revolutionary techniques for long-term rehabilitation of acute and chronic pain and dysfunction.

Each participant will master the philosophy, structural analysis, and specialized techniques necessary to be successful in treating clients most effectively and efficiently as the body unwinds into balance and pain-free function. The results that are achieved using these treatment protocols place SET Therapists at the top of their profession both in expertise and income! Requests for names of trained SET Therapists within the state, around the country and internationally are constant – thus, once trained and established, you will always be in demand!  We also offer opportunities for other advanced training Continuing Education credits.

SET PHASES

Our specialized Structural Energetic Therapy training features small classes with a maximum of 12 participants. One or more support staff for every 4 students means you will receive individual attention. Our skilled staff and instructors are ready to assist you during the training, between sessions and even after graduation!

SET Training is taught in Three Phases:

PHASE I: Basic spinal stabilization and release of core distortion

PHASE II:  Moving the client into full structural balance

PHASE III:  Advanced techniques

You will have time between the three Phases to practice your skills and become comfortable with the techniques before moving into the next Phase.  Our staff will provide support and answer your questions during the training, between the Phases, and as long as you are doing Structural Energetic Therapy.

OUR GOAL is that you will experience the excitement, joy and satisfaction of assisting your clients in reaching maximum rehabilitation — long term.

OUR COMMITMENT is that you will be able to successfully apply the treatment techniques and protocols learned in each session immediately in your practice.

SET Training Curriculum

PHASE I

PHASE I covers the basic spinal stabilization to release the core distortion pattern out of the structure and soft tissue of the body.  You learn Cranial/Structural techniques and protocols for:

  • Head, Neck, and Shoulders
  • Cranial Therapeutic Decompression
  • Cranial/Structural Frontal/Occipital Decompression Quick Release Techniques
  • Cranial/Structural Core Distortion Releases I
  • Pelvic Balancing
  • Cranial/Structural Core Distortion Releases II
  • Advanced Thoracic Releases
  • Techniques within the scope of massage therapy to release emotional energy
  • Body reading skills

Phase I Class Schedules:

  • 7 weekend sessions, one every month for seven consecutive months OR
  • 3 multi-day sessions, one every two months:
    • one 4-day session
    • two 5-day sessions

PHASE II

PHASE II teaches you how to effectively move the client into full structural balance by releasing the structural sub-patterns the body tends to move through as it unwinds out of its core distortion.  You will learn Cranial/Structural techniques and protocols for:

  • 14 separate sub-patterns including carpal tunnel / nerve entrapment syndromes
  • Releasing the emotional component that contributes to each sub-pattern
  • Advanced lower leg and foot techniques – heel spurs, plantar fasciitis, hammer toes, bunions, old and new ankle sprains/strains, and more
  • Expanding your skills for releasing emotional energy
  • Body reading skills

Phase II Class Schedules:

  • 6 weekend sessions, one per month for six consecutive months OR
  • 3 four-day sessions, one every two months

PHASE III

PHASE III techniques take your SET skills to an advanced level and create breakthroughs for your clients who need additional deep work for maximum rehabilitation.  You learn Cranial/Structural techniques and protocols for:

  • Expanding your skills for releasing emotional energy
  • Advanced TMJ treatments for challenging TMJ issues that don’t disappear with the standard release of the core distortion in the cranium and soft tissue
  • Advanced Deep Adductors conditions that affect hip and knee using specialized techniques, and release stubborn or severe ilium rotation and low back issues that are beyond regular SET training practices
  • Advanced Deep Abs to release abdominal adhesions from surgeries, endometriosis, or disease, address digestive and genito-urinary conditions, and fully release diaphragmatic issues for breathing, and remaining unresolved abdominal core distortion issues
  • Advanced Deep Glutes releasing additional gluteal adhesions and scar tissue that affect the sacrum and tailbone, and release stubborn core distortion issues including problematic sciatic issues, stenosis and severe disc conditions that do not resolve with the normal SET core distortion soft tissue releases

Phase III Class Schedule

  • 2 five-day sessions, one every month for two consecutive months

All course schedules subject to change.

CONTINUITY AND FINANCES

Each phase of the Structural Energetic Training training consists of numerous classes, each of which are an integral part of the whole.  Because of the continuity and progression of the training, individual sessions are not offered.  Should an emergency arise during a SET training phase, you will have the opportunity to make up any missed sessions with a different SET training class.

CRITERIA FOR SET THERAPIST CERTIFICATION

  • Successfully complete Phase I, II and III of the SET Training
  • Successfully treat at least 10 clients until they are pain-free from their initial complaints for 4 weeks (these can be clients treated throughout your training)
  • Document treatment of these 10 clients from the initial session through recovery from the initial complaint using the treatment form we give you — client should remain symptom-free for 4 weeks before discontinuing treatment. Please don’t use client name or any personal identifying information – you can assign a number for each client. Documentation should include:
    • intake form showing symptoms experienced by client
    • your initial evaluation
    • brief notes from each session (we give you the forms to use)
  • After reviewing your case studies, you may be requested to do a session on an instructor to demonstrate your technique

Some cases may not resolve quickly – lifestyles, duration of problem prior to treatment, severity of condition, and emotions will all have an effect. Be patient – you will make a significant difference!
