I have been passing on information for you to strengthen your immune system which only makes sense in this time of COVID-19. Dr. Mercola has again published on his website an article titled Could Hydrogen Peroxide Treat Coronavirus?

Quoting from this article, “Can an inexpensive and easy to administer at-home treatment treat the novel coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2? According to Dr. Thomas Levy, the answer is yes. The remedy in question is hydrogen peroxide, aerosolized in any standard nebulizer.”

If you are a hands-on therapist you more than likely have been shut down and told to close your business due to COVID-19 pandemic. There is no way you can safely practice social distancing and treat your clients with hands-on therapy. If this has left you without an income there are a couple of routes you can follow that you may have read about in one of my previous articles.

  1. The first is unemployment. This system is overloaded with the large number of applicants. Some systems have crashed periodically as they were not designed to handle this volume. Having talked to many who have applied for unemployment the time between 2 a.m. – 5 a.m. seems to give you the best chance to enroll via the computer. Hopefully, you have been successful and will soon be receiving expanded unemployment reimbursement with both the State and Federal Governments contributing.

  2. The second option is a Small Business Loan. If you applied online you found you could also apply for a $10,000 grant that should be easier to qualify for and take less time than the other Small Business Loan possibilities. I have yet to hear of anyone who has applied who has been contacted for the next step. When you applied you probably were told someone would contact you within 3-5 days. However, the news has indicated that the system is overloaded and breaking down periodically. Hopefully, they are going to fix these glitches and will soon be able to start contacting you for the next step in receiving this money.

  3. The third choice could be a Payroll Protection Plan. You would go to the website of the bank where you do business and apply for a Payroll Protection Plan through Disaster Relief Aid. If you qualify the loan amount will be 2.5x the salary paid by your business. You will need to upload a Paycheck Protection Program-Borrower Worksheet that you fill out showing your payroll. You will also need a 940, or 941, or 944 Tax Form to show what you paid your employees and your withholdings paid to the Federal Government. Again, I don’t know anyone who has been contacted about the next step. It’s easy to assume that some tax returns will be necessary to get approval. There is also news that this system is also overloaded and periodically breaking down. I know they are working on the system and hopefully it will be fixed soon.

Whichever route you took neither the State nor the Federal Government has ever dealt with this many cases and it’s going to take time. The best we can hope for is that it’s all going to work out and these glitches will be efficiently resolved.


The Wim Hof method involves using breath and has similarities to the Emotional Energy Release breathwork we use in Structural Energetic Therapy®. However, you don’t need a therapist to facilitate the process. There have been several SET Therapists who have been using it and have reported excellent results in reducing their stress and calming their bodies. The focus is not emotional release. However, it is possible that some emotions will come up to be released. The system uses an app that you can get from your app store on your cell phone. It is also free. I have downloaded it and found it relatively easy to get into. My feeling is that any breathwork has benefits and that when you can’t get together with a therapist to be facilitated this one will be of benefit. Thank you, Joel Rayburn, for finding this and recommending it.


While researching nutritional supplements that can help build and maintain our immune systems putting us in much better shape to combat the COVID-19 virus, I have been finding several health professionals who recommend melatonin. They recommend melatonin because it will not only help you sleep better at night, but it also definitely helps your immune system operate at a higher level. However, they have discovered other reasons for using melatonin. The best article I have seen on this is an analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola in his article Melatonin for Sepsis and COVID-19 is included. (Please click on this title of Dr. Mercola’s article to read his whole article – there much more important information there than we can include here). The following is quoted from this article – Melatonin for Sepsis:


  • Melatonin plays an important role in your immune function. It has antioxidant and mitochondrial-protective functions, and has been shown to be effective against various bacterial and viral infections

  • Melatonin has been shown to reverse septic shock symptoms by decreasing synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines; preventing lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced oxidative damage, endotoxemia and metabolic alterations; suppressing gene expression of nitric oxide synthase; and preventing apoptosis (cell death)

  • A metabolite of melatonin, 6-hydroxymelatonin, has beneficial effects on sepsis-induced mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress and cytokine responses

  • Melatonin can also protect against polymicrobial sepsis, i.e., sepsis caused by more than one microbial organism. In this case, melatonin appears to offer protection by having an antibacterial effect on white blood cells called neutrophils

  • The inflammasome NLRP3 is a key culprit in acute respiratory distress syndrome and acute lung injury, both of which are potential outcomes of COVID-19 infection. Melatonin inhibits the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes, thus offering potential protection against infection

While melatonin works as a natural sleep regulator, it affects health in many other important ways as well. For example, melatonin:

  • Is a potent antioxidant

  • Plays an important role in cancer prevention

  • Is important for brain, cardiovascular and gastrointestinal health

  • Boosts immune function in a variety of ways

  • May improve the treatment of certain bacterial diseases, including tuberculosis

  • Helps quell inflammation

  • May prevent or improve autoimmune diseases, including Type 1 diabetes

  • Is an important energy hormone – if your sleep efficiency is impaired, meaning you’re not sleeping as deeply as you should, for as long as is ideal, then your energy level is going to be adversely affected.

As noted in the Journal of Critical Care:

  • Melatonin is a versatile molecule, synthesized not only in the pineal gland, but also in many other organs. Melatonin plays an important physiologic role in sleep and circadian rhythm regulation, immunoregulation, antioxidant and mitochondrial-protective functions, reproductive control, and regulation of mood. Melatonin has also been reported as effective in combating various bacterial and viral infections.”

Meditation – Benefits, How To, Different Types During COVID-19


I love to meditate and have been doing it since the early 70’s. I have been fortunate to participate in and learn about many types of meditation. In this article I’m going to first cover the basics about meditation and then discuss some of the easier and more popular practices.


I first consciously went into a meditative state when I was on a swimming team in high school and had to keep track of the number of laps I was swimming. I would repeat over and over the number of the lap I was on until I hit the turn at which point I would go to the next number. I found this distracted me from the discomfort of the training, settled me, and I experienced a degree of peace. Four years later I was initiated in Transcendental Meditation (aka TM) and received my first true instruction in how to meditate. I’m going to include this for first time meditators as it made it easier to follow the basics that were taught in TM since it is very easy to fall asleep when meditating:


  1. Close your eyes and sit with your spine straight.
  2. Take several deep breaths concentrating on relaxing on the exhale for at least 30 seconds.

These two processes will prepare you for meditation and help you not fall asleep (but it’s okay if you do). These are the first two steps for all the relaxation type of meditations I am going to cover.


A Progressive Relaxation Meditation starts with the first two steps mentioned above. After about 30 seconds after the second step of quieting your body, allow your mind to just observe the thoughts and sensations that are moving through. Then observe any sensation or tension in your feet. Breathe into that sensation or tension and with your exhale observe it leaving your body. This step will be repeated for each area of your body from your feet to the top of your head (i.e. after feet observe any sensation or tension in your ankles, breathe into the sensation or tension and with your exhale observe it leaving; after ankles observe your calves following the same procedure, and so on.) Be sure to include the jaw as it will be one of the tightest places in your body. After covering your entire body then breathe in, locate any tension still remaining and exhale watching the tension leave. This last step is repeated at least three times until there is no significant tension or sensation of tension still recognized in your body. This whole process can take 10-20 minutes depending on how detailed your observations of your body are. This meditation is extremely helpful in times of stress (like now) or just before bedtime. Repeating this meditation daily will allow it to work more efficiently and your body to relax more deeply.


Mantra Meditations . A mantra is a word or sound that is repeated gently in your mind over and over. When repeating the mantra you will find thoughts will still come up. The key is just observe the thoughts and go back to repeating the mantra. The thoughts are often associated with stresses that are releasing from your central nervous system. A mantra meditation usually lasts anywhere from 10-20 minutes and should be followed with approximately two minutes of just observing with your eyes closed any thoughts or sensations within your body. Then open your eyes and return your consciousness to the room. Mantras can be: Sanskrit; a pleasant word, one of the best is “love”; a positive affirmation, i.e. I am loved, I am healthy; your name; or any other pleasant calm word or thought.


Count Down Meditations . Counting down is not only a meditation technique but also a self-hypnosis and Silva Mind Control technique. After the first two steps, one of the simplest count downs is count backwards from 10 gently saying in your mind 10-10-10, then 9-9-9, on down to 0. Upon reaching 0 you can repeat counting down from 10 or just float and observe whatever is coming up being quiet and peaceful with your eyes closed. Count down meditations usually take 10-20 minutes with a two minute observation time at the end. You may count down from 50 or 100 for an extended meditation. Again, repeating the meditation daily or even twice daily brings you into a deeper state of meditation.


Guided Meditations . Guided meditations as the word applies are guided. They can either be self-guided where you let your imagination or memories create the images of the meditation, or they can be guided from an external source where you receive directions from a person or recording. A good place to start a guided meditation is allowing your mind to go to a place that is one of your favorite places in the world (i.e. a mountain top, the beach, a garden, etc). Once you are in one of your favorite places use your mind to fill in and picture all the wonderful things about it. Spend 10-20 minutes in your favorite space observing all of its wonders and how good it makes you feel. Afterwards spend two minutes just observing your mind and body from inside and then open your eyes. If someone or a tape is guiding you do steps 1 and 2 and then just follow along with the suggestions from the guiding source. This takes trust in the guiding source but is oftentimes easier than creating a self-guided meditation, especially if your mind is very active. End the meditation with two minutes of quiet observation with your eyes closed.

The Light Meditation . The Light Meditation can be either self-guided or you can use a guiding source such as my Light Meditation which can be downloaded for free at www.cranialstructuralenergetics.com. Follow the first two steps for meditating, and then imagine a Light source above your head with the Light shining down through the top of your head into the area of your heart. Have this Light flow like a waterfall where the area of your heart will get brighter and expand, and continue filling with Light. Hold this image of the space around your heart intensifying, expanding and filling with Light and just observe as it continues to intensify, expand and fill. You do not need to be afraid of the fact that your heart seems to expand not only through your entire body but out into the surrounding space until it is difficult to identify the confines of your body. You will always come back at the end of the meditation. Spend at least 10 minutes expanding and filling your heart space with Light from a source above before spending two minutes just observing your peace and quiet, then open your eyes. The expanded heart space full of energy and Light is the basis of scalar physics. The heart is the strongest healing energy that we have. It is said that it is 10,000 times more powerful than the healing energy of the mind. I don’t know who counted, but it is extremely powerful. Filling ourselves full of Light drives out the negative and expands the positive which makes us immune to many negative experiences and diseases. An expanded heart space full of Light and energy is also a place where we can seek healing for others. If they are also meditating with the Light Meditation there is a magnification of the healing power and what is possible. The Light Meditation is the basis for distance healing and the more you use it the more it will not only help heal people you want to heal but also help you, the meditator, heal and strengthen yourself.

I cannot stress how important it is to meditate in this stressful time of COVID-19 pandemic. Meditation will release and minimize your stress, balance your emotions, strengthen your immune system, bring peace and quiet to your mind, dissolve your sense of isolation, and connect you to the positive forces of the universe.

The first medical resource I went to when researching for treatments for COVID-19 was Dr. Lee Cowden, Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of ACIM, who is a world renowned physician. Dr. Cowden was able to pass on to me treatment protocols that would be beneficial to pass on to your physician. Some of these protocols could also be utilized without physician supervision, but it would be best to have a physician supervising. I am going to list them in the order that Dr. Cowden presented to me. (all the following 1-24 are quoted from Dr. Cowden’s list – it is lengthy, but has important information. As indicated, there are items here that are to be applied by physicians only)

  1. Make sure the patient is in a low electromagnetic radiation environment and there is no 60 gigahertz environment.

The first instruction on this “Antiviral Treatment” handout (avoiding EMF) is VERY important! Turn off all Wi-Fi permanently& use only hard-wired internet connection. Turn off/unplug all radio-frequency burglar alarm systems. Unplug from the power source all portable phones. Put cellphones on airplane mode at all times except when making BRIEF calls using ONLY speaker-phone mode (NOT held against your head). At bedtime each night, turn the breakers off in your home’s breaker box that provide electricity to your bedroom & the room next to the head of your bed (if possible leave these breakers turned off 100% of the time). Use a faint red-LED flashlight next to your bed if you have to get up to the toilet during the night. Get into bed in a pitch-dark bedroom by 9 pm to heal your endocrine system.

If you live in a city where there is a lot of EMF coming into your home from outside your home, at least get from www.lessemf.com a “Disposable Shielding Tent” (a mylar tube 8 feet long and 10 feet in circumference for $12.95 plus $10.00 shipping). To use this, it would be best to build a PVC pipe frame to put inside the tube to keep the top two sides from touching your body (like the website picture shows), put a cotton blanket inside the tube to sleep on, and use an insulated, multistranded wire (with an alligator clip on one end of the wire to clip onto the end of the “tent” and a small “banana-plug” connector to stick into a grounded electric wall-plug socket near the tent) to ground the tent while sleeping in it. For another $4, you can buy additional mylar material (an “Emergency Blanket”) to cover both ends of the mylar tube so that no EMF can get in from the ends. To verify that the electric wall-plug by the bed is properly grounded to plug in the banana-plug from the tent, buy a 110-volt ground-fault outlet receptacle tester for about $5.

For $350 on www.lessemf.com you can buy an EMF-shielding bedroll to sleep in (called a Blok-Bag), which has a considerably better EMF shielding effect than the mylar tube, but make sure that is also grounded to the plug beside the bed and that the Blok-Bag is not touching your skin. If you prefer, you can buy an EMF-shielding canopy to put over your bed (about $1000to$1600 on www.lessemf.com), but if you sleep on any floor other than the ground floor/lowest floor of a building, you must have the legs of your bed sitting on an EMF shielding material & the material extending enough beyond the edges of the bed so that the canopy coming down from above the bed touches the EMF-shielding material on the floor all the way around the bed (no gaps).

  1. Vegetable Juices (or pure water with a dash of sea-salt) every 15 min. orally all waking hours (1oz/kg/day). Eat no sugar!

  2. For physician only: When viruses are causing shortness of breath, wheezing or a lot of cough, if possible, check arterial blood gases or at least check finger oxygen saturation

  3. For physician only: if O2 saturation or arterial pO2 is low, consider hyperbaric O2 treatments or at least oxygen from an oxygen concentrator or an oxygen tank via nasal cannula or via oxygen mask

  4. For physician only: Can consider DiMethyl SulfOxide (99.99% pure pharmaceutical grade DMSO) by IV drip to decrease lung inflammation, especially if short of breath, low O2 saturation or coughing a lot

  5. For physician only: if the patient has a level of serum Glucose6Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PD) that is in the normal range, might give intravenous sodium ascorbate (or ascorbic acid buffered with sodium bicarbonate) 25+ grams in sterile water (or in 0.45% sterile saline if sterile water is not available) every 8-24 hours, but do not use if G6PD is too low. All people would be wise to measure their G6PD levels and put that info in their wallet before they become ill.

  6. Take oral vitamin C/ascorbic acid (or magnesium ascorbate), starting with 2000 mg in adults and every 2 hours increase the dose by 2000 mg to bowel tolerance (having somewhat loose bowel movements between 3 and 4 times per day) but if that causes pink or reddish urine, stop the vitamin C dose [and consult your physician] until the serum G6PD can be verified to be normal (children take proportionally less vitamin C per dose based on body weight but still increase the dose by the starting dose every 2 hours). Adding 1 tsp (1000 mg of ascorbic acid per tsp) of Liposomal Vitamin C 3 times/day is usually tolerated even if G6PD is low & can be taken same day as other vitamin C. *take 500 mg Quercetin with each Vitamin C dose (even every 2 hours).

  7. Nutramedix Takuna-dose for approximately 150-pound adult is 30 drops every hour while awake until symptoms resolve, then every 2 hours for 24 hours, then every 4 hours for 24 hours, then every 8 hours for at least 48 hours ( proportionally more or less drops for other weights). Also Amantilla for stress & poor sleep (15-30 drops)

  8. Vitamin D3 (as oil-gel-cap) – adult dose is 20,000 units orally as a 1-time dose (if not already on 4000-5000 units D3 per day long-term), then continue D3 at a dose of 4000-5000 units orally daily (children and small adults take proportionally less).

  9. Vitamin A emulsified (NOT beta-carotene & must be taking vitamin D before adding vit A) – adult dose is 100,000 units daily orally for 4-5 days, then 20,000-25,000 units/day (children take proportionally less).

  10. Lugol’s iodine 2% solution – adult dose is 50-100 mg/day (=20-40 drops/day) for 3 days, then 10 drops/day (DO NOT give iodine as a tablet because that can damage the gut flora, which represents about 70% of the patient’s immunity); give proportionally less Lugol’s iodine solution for children

  11. For physician only: If serum creatinine is in normal range, for adults, give magnesium 150 mg/dose by slow IV drip 3x/day (plus 300-450 mg of the citrate/malate form of magnesium orally 3x/day and do daily Epsom Salt foot soaks with ¼ cup in 2 gallons warm water)

  12. Selenium (mono-methionate is the best form) – adult dose is 800 mcg/day for 4 days, then 200 mcg/day (proportionally less for children) plus sublingual (or liposomal) reduced L-glutathione (200-500 mg several times per day)

  13. Zinc 50 mg (as the citrate) 2x/day is adult dose (proportionally less for children).

  14. Melt 1 Coenzymated B Complex tab under the tongue twice/day (but not too late in day so sleep is not affected)

  15. Coenzyme Q100-200 mg (emulsified in oil-gel-cap) twice daily orally for those over 40 years old.

  16. MK7 form of vitamin K – 150-200 mcg daily for children and 400-450 mcg daily

  17. Nutramedix Burbur+Pinella (B+P) 15 drops in 2 ounces of pure water every 15 minutes as needed for toxicity (proportionally less for children). Nutramedix Resveratrol one twice daily helps to quench free radicals & inflammation

  18. One tsp of activated charcoal every 6-8 hours orally as needed for toxicity symptoms if B+P ineffective.

  19. Andrographis from Planetary Formulas (comparably good-quality company) 400-800 mg 2-4 times daily

  20. Nutramedix Samento & Houttuynia 30 drops of each every 2 hours while awake until symptoms resolve, then every 4 hours for 24 hours, then every 8 hours for at least 48 hours (proportionally more or less drops for other weights). Samento is an immune system adaptogen and can calm down an overactive, inflammatory response (like hydrocortisone).

  21. Avoid ibuprofen, acetaminophen (Tylenol), & even aspirin if you can (apply water to naked skin to evaporate heat off)

  22. Stop smoking & switch from ACE-inhibitor meds for high BP to other meds because ACE-inhibitors stimulate C-virus

  23. N-acetyl Cysteine nebulized & inhaled and Carnosine orally several times per day.

  24. In order of priority (if funds limited & not short of breath): 1,2, then 7 thru 24, then the rest by numerical order.

  25. For physician only: In order of importance (if YES shortness of breath): do 1-24 in order (doing 3-6 as best feasible based on finances and access to resources). If low blood pressure (or other signs of sepsis), add IV 50 mg of hydrocortisone, 100 mg of thiamine and 1500 mg ascorbic acid every 6 hours, then do rest of steps in order. If pink urine develops because patient has G6PD deficiency and that was not tested before giving IV vitamin C, switch to a lower dose of ascorbic acid IV and slow the infusion rate and give 1000 mg of L-glutathione slow IV push an hour after each IV ascorbic acid drip.

Some of the recommended supplements and herbs could also be used if a physician is unavailable. Those are the ones that are not indicated for physician only. Please note that Dr. Cowden is only recommending this protocol for working with a physician.
